This work is part of a new series of works I started to work on in July 2023 in Dunsancy in preperation for a solo show in September 2023. My work is intuitive in nature and I love to create visually dynamic paintings and visual compositions which use a clash of form, colour and collage. I layer and juxtapose shapes, patterns, dripped and pulled paint & off cuts of silk & cashmere scarves from my brand of wearable art to create movement and a sense of heightened positive energy, creating vibrant visual labyrinths to explore. I then finish the works with resin which adds a vibrancy & a depth of intensity to the works which helps to convey the heightened energy that I am trying to communicate. I love the circular idea of the fragments of scarves being used again, they came from the designs which were inspired from previous paintings and they take on a new life & existence ending back in the next generation of paintings. My aim is to bring Colour, Light & Positive Energy to your home.
